How can you outsmart risks to humans?
Focus on the human as the core system.

In today’s high-stakes environments, risk is no longer managed by better checklists or smarter systems alone. It’s managed by understanding how humans behave, decide, and perform when pressure is relentless.
My work moves beyond traditional Human Factors into the deeper mechanics of human performance — where physiology, cognition, and emotion converge. This is where fatigue, overload, and degraded decision-making begin, long before anything “goes wrong.”
With decades of experience across safety-critical industries — and thousands of hours observing and creating solutions for real high-risk operations like air-to-air refuelling and brain surgery — I’ve seen the same pattern repeat: risk escalates when organisations rely on human resilience instead of supporting human needs.

Humans are not the problem to be engineered around.
I work with individuals, teams, and organisations to optimise human performance from the inside out — improving communication, decision quality, and resilience without sacrificing human health.
